Diagnosis, Therapy

The procedure involves telescopic “shelling out” of the central part of the prostate using a laser to create a wide channel which allows urine to flow more easily.

Particularly suited to larger prostates, HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) offers surgeons the ability to remove a large volume of prostatic tissue in a safe setting and international data indicates operative outcomes are at least as good as TURP.
