Consultant Urological Surgeon at at West Sussex . He practises in all areas of general urology, with his main subspecialty interest being the minimally invasive management of urinary stone disease.
Paimaun grew up in Birmingham and attended King Edward VI Five ways school. He received his medical qualification from the university of Aberdeen and underwent his basic surgical training in Aberdeen, Mansfield and Leicester. In 2007 Paimaun worked as a urology registrar in Wellington, New Zealand where he developed his passion for urology. He undertook his specialist training on the East of Scotland Training Scheme rotating through high volume specialist centres including, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee and Fife.
His subspeciality training took him to Australia, where he underwent 15 month fellowship training in upper tract laparoscopy and endourology at the St George Hospitals in Sydney. The fellowship also allowed to develop his skills in laser enucleation of the prostate along with Urolift. Paimaun has developed subspecialty expertise in, rigid and flexible ureteroscopy with laser stone fragmentation, and percutaneous stone surgery.
Paimaun is married to Julie-Rose, a GP and they live with their 2 young daughters.
